FARE ALERT

BEST FARES TO THE NORTHEAST: BOSTON, NEW YORK, AND MORE! (FROM SEVERAL DEPARTURES)

DEPARTURES:  Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee

DATES: AUG-APR (varies by departure and destination

AIRLINES:  American, Spirit, Allegiant, United, JetBlue, Delta

AIRBNB: No lists for the Northeast yet...

NOTES:   We've had another great week for adding new members!  Thank all of you who have been getting the word out.

We have had several requests for more great fares to the Northeast!  It's not for lack of searching - there just haven't been all that many domestic flight sales the last couple months. We did see some pretty good fares pop up lately to NYC, Bangor, Boston and a couple others.  We thought we'd put them all together in a "Northeast" fare alert.

*Domestic Fares Notes:  We sometimes put fares in here from the “discount carriers:”  JetBlue, Spirit, Allegiant, etc.  We typically advise people to plan for luggage fees (if you don’t pack REALLY light), and try not to use these flights for critical trips (like family weddings).  We’ve taken lots of successful flights with the discount carriers - and have had overwhelmingly good results.  But, when a flight gets cancelled - you’re going to be waiting a full day or more for another one.  That can be a deal breaker on a lot of trips.

*Trick (when you're booking, look at ONE WAY fares each way just to check).  Sometimes on domestic flights, that can save you 20% or more!

*Click on flight links below to be directed to sample dates / flights.  This is a great starting place to start finding dates that work for you.  Prices were valid when this fare alert was assembled - but are subject to change at any moment.

Booking Flights

Adventure Fares recommends starting your fare search with easy-to-use search engines (like Google Flights) to locate the flight you’re wanting, dates and details.  Then, after finding the flight details, we recommend booking the actual flights direct with the airlines.  We also sometimes use travel services like Momondo.com,  expedia.com,  travelocity.com - and others.  Booking with airlines directly is typically preferable, especially when problems occur (such as flight changes, delays, booking problems, etc).
