BOOKING FLIGHTS: Adventure Fares recommends starting your fare search with easy-to-use search engines (like Google Flights) to locate the flight you’re wanting, dates and details. Then, after finding the flight details, we usually recommend booking the actual flights direct with the airlines. We also sometimes use travel services like Momondo.com, expedia.com, travelocity.com - and others. Booking with airlines directly seems to be preferable, especially when problems occur (such as flight changes, delays, booking problems, etc).
The central city area of Buenos Aires is a very popular place to stay with tourists. We've only focused on rentals in the most popular neighborhoods with these recommended rentals: Recoleta (the most affluent neighborhood), Palermo (Soho and Hollywood areas - very popular city within a city area), San Telmo (historic, energetic, vibrant, very affordable), and Colegiales (A little quieter, but not fare from the action):
How do we select AirBNBs to recommend? We generally review and recommend AirBNB rentals on 3 things (may vary some by destination)
1. Reviews - we’ll never recommend a rental that doesn’t have excellent reviews, and doesn’t have enough of a track record to make the list.
2. Location: We always take a look at “where” the rental is. While there are certainly excellent units outside the areas we look for in cities - we like to be sure we’re giving you units in the best areas.
3. Value: We like to look at pricing in an area - and only recommend units that are decent to excellent values for what / where you’re renting.
4. View: We keep an eye out for units that have an excellent view! That’s when we’ll venture a little outside our pricing goals - when a place has an incredibly view you’ll want to consider. Sometimes we might get a little carried away (like when we go through the Santorini list).
So, we won’t ever recommend a place that doesn’t have a fantastic track record of reviews, or is in a bad location - no matter how good the price might seem. And of the units that have great reviews and locations - we’ll single out those with great value, great views, or hopefully both!
We certainly recommend looking at other rental units (from AirBNB - and we've also had great experiences with VRBO). We are not paid by AirBNB or any other property entities. We're just trying to help members sort through the best options.
